projects. Assist project and line management in funding, planning, scheduling and resource loading
nuclear projects from conceptualization to closeout. Primary focus is the engineering, procurement,
work package planning and close-out. Lead scheduling efforts and initiatives.
2012 – 2014
Duke Energy – Brunswick Nuclear Plant – Southport, NC
Project Controls Manager, Brunswick Major Projects: Managed a team of 25 cost and scheduling
professionals that oversee funding, estimating, planning, scheduling, implementation, control and
closeout of nuclear plant projects at Duke Energy’s Brunswick Nuclear Plant. Primary responsibilities
were to organize and staff the team to align with the Duke Energy business model resulting from the
Duke Energy/ Progress Energy merger that closed in 2012.
2011 – 2012
Babcock and Wilcox Barnhart – Harris Nuclear Plant – New Hill, NC
Major Projects Craft Superintendent, Harris Major Projects: Managed a team of superintendents and
supervisors to plan, estimate, acquire project resources for and implement major projects at Harris
Nuclear Plant. Harris was a Progress Energy asset at this time. Responsible for all aspects of project
implementation including cost, schedule, scope, safety and human performance.
2003 – 2011
Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) – Hanford, WA
Project Manager/ Office Manager. Deputy Project Manager for the Department of Energy (DOE), Office
of River Protection’s (ORP) Tank Closure Environmental Impact Statement Project at the Hanford
Nuclear Reservation in Richland, WA. An $80 Million high-profile, mission-critical project for the DOEORP
that influenced the programmatic path forward for retrieval, treatment, and disposal of 54 Million
gallons of radioactive, chemical, and mixed waste; and closure of the Single Shell Tank Farm System.
Managed SAIC’s Richland, WA office and a professional staff of nine employees. Created the project
cost and schedule baseline. Established and maintained the earned value management system (EVMS)
per DOE requirements. Moved to oversight role of EVMS when promoted to Office Manager.
1998 – 2002
Duke Energy (Duke Engineering & Services, Inc.) - Hanford, WA
Integrated Scheduling Manager. Managed development oversaw implementation and maintenance of
the Duke/Fluor's first fully integrated detailed working level (Level 4) schedule on the Department of
Energy's Spent Nuclear Fuel Project. Performed project level integration of all schedules developed by
SNF sub-project schedulers, implemented Primavera (P3) database administration. Provided
programmatic and technical direction to schedulers, trained and managed performance of schedulers.
Areas of leadership included all engineering and construction projects as well as the daily craft work
control schedules for all Operating Facilities.
1994 – 1998
Duke Energy – Fishing Creek Hydro – Great Falls, SC
Project Manager. Managed construction activities to refurbish Duke Energy’s Fishing Creek
Hydroelectric Station. Duties included coordination of estimating, planning, scheduling, material
procurement, material delivery, and craft implementation activities. Scope of the project included
replacing the turbine, rewinding the generator, and installing state-of-the-art control systems for each
operating unit.
1992 – 1994
Duke Energy (Duke Engineering & Services, Inc.) - Hollywood, AL
Sr. Project Control Engineer. Provided Lead Project Planning and Control services to TVA’s Bellefonte
Nuclear Station. Duties included project level integration of schedules developed by sub-project
schedulers; Primavera Project Planner (P3) database administration; change control administrator for
the baseline schedule; development, production, and presentation of weekly earned value management
system performance reports; performing variance analysis; completing corrective actions.
1980 – 1992
Duke Energy – Catawba Nuclear; Bad Creek Hydro; Oconee Nuclear
Project Engineer. Provided Project Electrical and I&C Engineering services at Duke Energy’s Oconee
Nuclear Station. Duties included reviewing requests for station modification, reviewing design drawings
for operability and constructability, developing 10CFR50.59 Safety Evaluations to determine appropriate
plant conditions for implementing the modification, development of implementation procedures to
guide craft actions for implementation, and providing technical support to craft organizations during
project implementation.
Assistant Geologist. Provided technical assistance to the Project Geologist during construction of Duke
Energy’s Bad Creek Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Facility. Duties included geologic mapping of above
ground and underground structures, technical drawing to document geologic features, and providing
technical direction to earth moving contractors during construction activities.
Construction Engineer. Provided construction engineering services to the support/ restraint group
during construction of Duke Energy’s Catawba Nuclear Station. Duties included constructability
evaluations of pipe support designs, development of documentation packages for installation and
inspection, and providing technical support to the craft organizations during project implementation.

Held Commercial Nuclear Station Unescorted Access Clearance through September 2014; current work
at Oconee does not require this clearance
